MEDITECH MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

Meditech Systems Asia Pacific Pty Ltd is a small to medium enterprise with an annual turnover of less than $100M, so currently we do not compulsorily or voluntarily report annually against the mandatory criteria for Modern Slavery under the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act (2018).

However, as standard in our business practices, we endeavour to work with our suppliers and look within our own operations so that situations where coercion, threats or deception can be used to exploit victims and undermine their freedom do not occur or be tolerated.

We also formally stand against all forms of Modern Slavery, such as:

• Human trafficking

• Slavery

• Servitude

• Forced labour

• Debt bondage

• Forced marriage, and

• The worst forms of child labour

We recognise that we cannot always have a direct influence on the employment standards of our suppliers, but we use our best endeavours to promote ethical trading wherever possible to ensure they can maximise their assurance of continuity of supply, consistent standard of quality, and avoid damage to our brand because of their operations.

We have also undertaken supplier audits in 2019, which involved a detailed review and physical inspection of several of our overseas suppliers to view first-hand the conditions within their manufacturing operations, and all were found to be operating at a very high level of worker safety, hygiene and conditions. Meditech is also a member of Sedex, who are driving improved sustainability across the global supply chain.
